Who Writes It

Everything published here is written by Philip van den Berge, who builds and runs Intrinsiqq. There is no content team, no freelance byline pool, and no guest posts. One person writes it, and that person's name is on it.

Articles are written by hand, not generated. Where an article states a figure about a company, that figure comes from the same pipeline that powers the rest of the site, so the article and the stock page cannot disagree.

Where The Numbers Come From

Company figures come from primary filings. For US-listed companies that means XBRL company-facts published by the SEC, parsed directly rather than bought from an aggregator. Companies outside the SEC's reporting regime are sourced from a licensed data provider, and where that source is not reliable enough to answer a question, we leave a blank rather than an estimate.

Every formula, threshold, XBRL tag mapping, and scoring weight behind those numbers is published on the methodology page, including a dated changelog of every change to how a figure is computed.

Independence

No company pays to be covered, scored differently, or featured. We do not accept paid placements, sponsored reviews, or payment from any company we write about. Scores are produced by the same rules for every ticker, and no score is ever adjusted by hand.

Nothing published here is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Articles that compare Intrinsiqq to other tools say so plainly, because we are not a neutral party in that comparison.

Corrections

If a figure is wrong, it is usually wrong for more than one company. A filing may have been restated, a tag may have mapped to the wrong line item, or a calculation may be at fault. So a correction means tracing the number back to the filing that produced it and fixing the cause, not editing the page.

Report anything that looks wrong through the contact page or at hello@intrinsiqq.com. Where a fix changes how a figure is calculated, it is recorded in the methodology changelog with the date it happened.

Updates

Articles carry a published date, and an updated date when they have been revised. Comparison articles that describe other companies' pricing or features carry the date those details were last verified, because they change often and we would rather show you a stale date than pretend otherwise.
